I had a blast with these two. They are a fun, sweet, and energetic couple. We started at the State Capitol Building and made our way around Capitol Lake in Olympia. After days of rain, the sun broke through and made for some beautiful “golden hour photos”.
Whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
- 2 Corinthians 4:16-17
There is such hope and beauty in the above verse. It reminds me that all shame disappears in God’s glory and when one takes their eyes off themselves.
Another idea I’ve been working with is vulnerability and new growth in a barren and lifeless environment. I believe at the beginning of personal growth and any type of recovery, one must step lightly and be very protective of the “new plant” which is the change and new positive behaviors one is trying to implement in their new life. I find it easy to let life knock me down and crush my spirits and discourage me…that is why I believe we must protect ourselves and cultivate hope, growth, and positive change in our lives.
